1,200 lb's of Bass - Merry Christmas!!

The Ledger Dispatch has an article that aught to make bass anglers tickled pink. Lake Camanche in California will receive 1,200 pounds of bass, and several hundred more pounds of trout. During a couple weeks in December 2006, the region will be dropping in the popular game fish.

The coming years will probably prove to be very fruitful for anglers of the region, as lake levels are on the rise. However, during the cold, anglers are reporting best results with slow trolling and swim baits, and soft plastics. During the colder months, the bass seem to be hanging over underwater islands, and appear to be in active.

Not exactly the same report that we heard from down south, where the fish seem to be relatively active. Note that the water temperature on both areas appear to be similar. Perhaps a difference can be found within the natural food supply.
